GAS
As we hear in the press, North sea gas production is declining. Supplies are now being imported from various European countries.  By 2016, it is estimated that 80% of gas stock consumed in the UK will be imported.  The price of gas is largely linked to oil…and we all know what is happening to that!

Although there are not as many Gas suppliers as in the Electricity market, the same criteria as for electricity apply.  Market forces are perhaps even more important in this area.  Customers are able to combine usages from different sites to secure competitive rates. It is therefore essential that if this facility is to be optimised, supplied need to be managed, with end dates managed to facilitate this advantage.

It should be noted that unlike the electricity market, most competitive gas quotes are supplied on a quotation basis with a 24-36 hour lead-in!

The Energy Company has been dealing with suppliers since before Utility de-regulation in 19997-98. We understand how they work, the tariffs they use, and, most importantly, the state of the energy markets at any time.
This market intelligence can minimise the risks of entering into new contracts at the wrong price/time.

Renewals
We will remind you in plenty of time when your contract is coming to an end.  Different suppliers have different termination periods. A number do not remind you or, certainly not in a clear concise manner.  We will supply a choice of renewal quotes at the appropriate time.  The final decision, of course, will lie with you.

Our services described above are all free of any charges. Should you agree to move to a supplier we recommend, they will pay us a broker’s fee.
